Stevenage Trials Consult On-line

Stevenage Borough Council has signed a contract to pilot DataSpace Consult On-line with a number of statutory consultees. The initial implementation will be with a limited number of consultees to evaluate and hone the consultation process before rolling it out to all consultees in the next few months.

The commitment to DataSpace Consult On-line follows a very positive response to a presentation to more that twenty consultees including; English Heritage, The Fire Service, The Police Department, The Environment Agency, The Water Board and the Highways Agency.

The presentation demonstrated how consultees would be securely invited to view, and comment on plans and application documents electronically using just a web browser. One consultee went so far as to comment that;

“DataSpace Consult On-line was the only product seen that meet their requirements fully”.

“DataSpace Consult enables the final part of the approval process to take place electronically using applications directly from the national web-portals, or scanned
applications that we are already creating to provide access for statutory consultation”
