LABC Submit-a-Plan has Changed

As an LABC member Resolution Data Management is pleased to let you about the exciting new changes made to the Submit-a-Plan service.

The Submit-a-Plan Portal has changed, bringing with it a fresh new look and boasting lots of new functionality to make Building Control applications even easier!!!

The Submit-a-Plan National Portal is now no longer exclusive for Local Authorities that have subscribed to the service for electronic submissions. All Local Authorities in England, Wales and Northern Ireland are now listed on the Portal. Authorities that have not yet subscribed now have a free listing and will be able to receive postal applications only. Applicants submitting a postal application will be able to complete the LABC dynamic forms online and then print and post them to you together with the appropriate documentation and drawings.

Submit-a-Plan includes a wide range of LABC forms available which include:

• Full Plan Submission
• Building Notice
• Regularisation Certificates
• Replacement Doors and Windows
• Demolition*
• Street Naming*
• Dangerous Structures*

The new site boasts many new enhancements for applicants which include:

• All Local Authorities enabled for electronic or postal submissions
• New forms
• New online application management
• New fast document application submission
• Option to use map to select Local Authority
• Ability to save part complete applications
• View drawings before submitting
• Plus much more…

The changes aren’t just for applicants as there are many new features for the subscribed councils which include:

• Ability to manage applications online
• Ability to visit DataSpace On-line and review applications
• Ability to resend application emails as necessary
• Ability to check the status of any application
• Notification email has link directly to the application in DataSpace On-line
• Pre-Apps are transferred to Consult automatically (DataSpace Consult Online required)
• Ability to view all application documents online (DataSpace Consult Online required)
• Ability to manually download applications (E-data Server upgrade required)
• Ability to support Partnering and combined working (E-data Server upgrade required)
