Press Release Date: 5th October 2011

New Submit-a-Plan website coming soon!

Resolution is proud to announce the arrival of the New Submit-a-Plan portal. As well as the LABC website getting a new look, Submit-a-Plan is about to receive a fresh new look with some great new functionality.

New Enhancements

The site includes a wide variety of changes which will give advantages to both applicants and Local Authorities.

  • Easier and Faster Submission Process
  • New Council Profile Pages
  • New Postcode Search
  • Direct Email to Local Authorities for Applicants
  • New Document Upload section
  • Print and Preview Part Complete Applications

Easier and Faster submission process

The way applications are created in Submit-a-Plan has changed. Soon applicants will be able to create applications within Dataspace Live. This solution makes the process far more easier than the existing site, and the speed of submissions has greatly improved.

New Council Profile Pages

With the added new look and feel of Submit-a-Plan we thought it would be a great opportunity to allow individual Building Control departments the ability to promote their services and provide contact details online.

New Postcode Search

Within the Submit-a-Plan site there is a new interactive map which has been improved to incorporate new council diversions etc. Along with the new map we have given applicants the ability to search for their Local Authority based on their postcode.

Don't forget the best way for applicants to find your Submit-a-Plan section is to set up a link from your Council website which will take your applicants directly to your branded forms. Contact the support team for more information.

Direct Email to Local Authorities for applicants

This new feature makes it even easier for your applicants to communicate with you regarding their applications. You as the authority will receive an email in to your Dataspace Live account, and will also receive a copy in your Building Control mailbox.

New Document Upload section

This section is the most important change to the Submit-a-Plan portal. Now wizard based, we hope this will vastly improve the user experience, making it far easier to upload documents.

Print and Preview part complete applications

Applicants now have the ability to create and save a PDF at any stage during the application process. This enables agents in particular to complete the form with their customers prior to submission.
