Press Release Date: 26th November 2007

Recieve online debit and credit card payments

Submit-a-Plan Payment Integration Module

Resolution is pleased to announce that Local Authorities using the DataSpace for Submit-a-Plan system for receiving, managing and processing online Building Control applications will now be able to offer applicants the ability to make online debit and credit card payments to accompany thier applications.

How Does It Work?

The new Submit-a-Plan Portal and latest version of DataSpace have been designed to integrate with Local Authorities existing online payment systems. This enables payment for applications submitted on Submit-a-Plan to be made online directly to the intended Local Authority. The benefit of this for applicants is that they do not need to post cheques accompanying applications. Local Authorities also do not need to handle cheques or take debit and credit card details over the phone for processing. The whole process of Building Control application submission and payment can be achieved simply and easily online.

Flexibility

The payment integration has been designed with flexibility in mind and enables Local Authorities to set their own pricing and adjust payment fees after reviewing an application before an applicant makes a payment. The benefit of this is that all online payments are for the correct amount for the application.

If you are on an older version of DataSpace for Submit-a-Plan then an upgrade will be required prior to setup of the payment integration module.
