Press Release Date: 16th April 2009 Online Applications Save Councils 53% A recent report published by Communities and Local Government titled 'Enabling Electronic Communication of Building Control Documents - Final Impact Assesment' calculates that the average cost savings made per electronic application compared with paper is 53% "...those who choose to use this method are expected to benefit from significant time and cost savings and improved efficiency of the system. Overall, we estimate that e-enabling will save around 53 per cent of the admin burden associated with obtaining building control consent."
