Devon Building Control Partnership Introduces The LABC Submit-a-Plan Forum

For those of you who are not familiar with The Devon Building Control Partnership, it brings together the Building Control departments of South Hams District Council, Teignbridge District Council & West Devon Borough Council, into one dedicated team partnership, sharing resources and expertise to provide a modern, flexible Building Control Service.
Like many other partnerships and unitary authorities we are spread out geographically with multiple offices, but with a single point of contact for our customers. To help us achieve this Devon Building Control Partnership uses the SNAP! online system for receiving and processing electronic Submit-a-Plan applications. The system enables us to allocate the applications between our multiple offices and provides us with all viewing and measuring tools to enable us to plan check electronically.
The system has enabled us to provide our customers a modern application service they now expect, while providing us with flexibility and efficiency gains. Read Article.
LABC Submit-a-Plan Forum
With the increasing number of Local Authorities now using Submit-a-Plan and the rapid increase in applications I thought that it was about time that Local Authorities should share their knowledge, tips & tricks and advice so that they get the most out of their systems and gain confidence.
The LABC has created a new forum on the member’s site where Local Authorities can do ust this. The Submit-a-Plan Forum is also the place where feedback and feature requests can be given. Information about joining Submit-a-Plan is also in the forum.

Getting Started
To start using the forum just click on the link or sign in on the LABC website www.labc.uk.com select ‘Members Content’ and then click on ‘Forums’.
The more topics and responses are submitted the better in order for the Forum to grow and remain up to date.
