Submit-a-Plan migrates South with Building Control Manager

When the former Ealing Building Control Manager recently crossed the fifteen miles to the London Borough of Sutton, the decision was made to add the benefits of being able to quickly and easily make applications online through Submit-a-Plan to their customers.

In the first instance Sutton wanted to further engage with their customers and make it easy for them to submit applications online whilst also reducing their time and costs. Given that all expenditure is scruntinised the solution needed to be low cost and easy to implement, with Submit-a-Plan Lite fitting the bill perfectly providing all of the benefits to the applicants and Sutton with the basics to access applications from anywhere with internet access.

Once Submit-a-Plan Lite has been bedded down and with applications rolling in, the future plan is to look at extending the use of online applications from home working etc.

Currently at Ealing ALL applications are processed electronically with the Resolution daily scanning service and Virtual Mailroom scanning the postal applications and submitting the same day online through Submit-a-Plan and Dataspace live.

The London Borough of Sutton is a good company in the South West of Greater London with newly signed Richmond going from zero to thirty online applications per month in the first few months and Wandsworth now rapidly moving towards a thousand online applications in total.
